Front Porch Step | West Chester, PA

A contractor I do work for had a customer with a front step that was sinking.  The contractor was the first in to remove the original step.  I then went in and flashed the walls of the house with aluminum.  Next the contractor returned to build and install the new step with me returning after they finished to complete the siding.

The step installed with a gap above that needs to be filled.

With the siding cut away you can see the additional flashing I installed.

With the rough cut cedar installed and caulked the homeowner will be later staining the siding to match.
